Operations Manager

As Operations Manager at MBS, you will have a varied job, where you have a lot of freedom to organize your work. Your work area includes both finance and HR. It is therefore important that you are sociable and can work independently. You also enjoy getting things right and supporting and unburdening the team.

What will be part of your duties as Operations Manager

On HR:

  • Recruitment and selection, terms of employment (including setting appropriate salaries and benefits), drafting employment contracts.
  • Provide introduction and supervision of newcomers to the company
  • Managing payroll, monitoring vacation balances, checking payroll returns
  • Initiate and oversee assessment cycle
  • Support professional development of employees
  • Employee satisfaction monitoring
  • Sick leave prevention, sick leave counseling, watching over a safe and healthy work environment and working conditions
  • Keep up with changes in laws and regulations surrounding human resources and implement these changes in personnel policies
 

On Finance:

  • Cost budgeting and together with Head of Product responsible for revenue budgeting
  • Monitor budget versus actuals and initiate adjustments as needed
  • Monitor timely billing and accounts receivable management
  • Handling purchases
  • Interpret and present periodic financial reports to MT
  • Support contract management
  • Checking and preparing payments
 

Other tasks

  • Responsible for general (internal) communications
  • Managing Back Office Employee

Who are we?

MBS (Media Buying Systems) is a dynamic company with software development for Media Agencies and Radio and TV operators. We offer two tools:

  • MediaView; this efficiently creates the optimal plan for an AV campaign, purchases, monitors performance and evaluates the campaign.
  • The MediaView Dashboard; this informs our users the advertisers about the performance of their Audio, Visual and Online campaign.
 

MBS is located in Amsterdam (Houthavens), in a beautiful industrial and cozy office.

Our team consists of 18-20 FTEs divided into four areas of responsibility: Development, Operations, Product and Business. We have an informal corporate culture but in our work we are all professionals. We work partly from home (up to 50%), but we all like to be in the office regularly, have lunch together and go for a walk. We regularly go out for drinks or dinner together.
